Speaking of Trevor’s scintillating shout-out to little old me (I also know Jesse Camp!), I figured I might sober up the mood around here and throw my two cents into the “no way to say gay” debate.

Let me begin by saying I’m pretty open-minded. I voted no against Prop 8. I’ve never eaten fried pork rinds.  I love the Golden Girls and musical numbers. I think Rick Warren should be assraped. Girls have gone down on me (no offense but I haven’t returned the favor because vaginas look like aliens). 

However, I still call things gay. I don’t use it derogatively. Some things in life are gay and it’s ok to call them out. Such as, sports. Sports are gay. Dudes who play sports are gay. Dudes who watch sports are gay. Fraternities are gay.  Remixes are gay. V-necks are gay. Mickey Mouse license plates are gay.  Rainbows are gay. American Apparel ads are gay. High fives are gay.

I’m not saying any of these things sucky or lame. I’m saying they are literally, in the literal sense of the word, gay.

All my friends are gay.  Some of you dudes may go, no I’m not gay, Camille. Actually, yes you are. Because if you are my friend then you are probably gay, either a little bit or a lot.  Sorry if those shards of truth are hard to swallow. I’ve heard swallowing is a proof of love.

So let’s just agree gay is not a bad word.

So as most of you loyal readers know over the years i’ve invited my friends to dish their own commentary on here, and it’s been pretty great. One thing it’s lacked recently however is the presence of a solid female opinion (RIP Katy P & Sarah Mo haha).

This however is where the magical Camille comes into play. I’ve known Camille for quite some time, we started crossing paths years ago and over the years she’s become quite the respected fashionista, writer and trendsetter. Yes she’s a multi talented beauty queen who is way too good for EatSkeet.com so how did I convince her to blog on here?? Well I told her she could write about Cats and Shoes as much as she’d like and she was in. Ladies out there instead of me posting lesbian DNB action you now have a voice who will be spewing her thoughts on furballs and Louboutin’s amongst other awesome things.

New Years is never as good as you expect it to be.

I had a great time at gridlock LA and the event was so well put together it was crazy, but the thing is you always end up trying to chase fun throughout the night which is a recipe for no fun 100% of the time.

Gridlock was really great it was nice to spend New Years with a bunch of my friends who were both working and hanging out. Pase and I started the evening off by walking around the fake city and grabbing some food, ran into jonny makeup and cory and took some pics with randoms.

Actually on second thought the whole picture thing with Jonny might not sound fun unless you know who he is so take a second and watch the video below haha

Okay so now you have an idea why that was worthy of a blog mention. moving on…

Went to katy’s green room which was great because it was heated and got to see her band and crew who are some of the greatest people on this planet.

Katy absolutely killed it! and LMFAO did a great job gettin everyone warmed up (cuz god knows it was chilly).

After katy played I went and did my thing. Was a fun set and everyone was pretty wasted so it made for some funny moments. In between my set time Mr. Hollywood came on and played, his crew did their thing and did a good job. Some jerk threw a drink at mr hollywood himself which given how wasted everyone was at the time probably should have been expected. But dudes handled it like a pro and kept on rockin. LMFAO came up on the vip stage soon after and got it poppin again which was coolin. They are really killing it.

Then I took off to Gina and Lax’s place to get in some afterhours goodness. Gina was getting ill with the dark minimal and i was vibing. I headed out after sayin what up to DJ Hoff and his lady and met up with some homies at cafe 101. Ryan Gosling was there but Rachel McAdams wasn’t so i was bummed.
